Grass trimmings can provide valuable nutrients if they are left on the surface of the lawn to decompose naturally.
Incinerators are another option for burning garden waste and are a safer option than bonfires as they burn at a much higher temperature, producing less smoke. Plenty of people do burn garden waste on bonfires. It’s legal to have a bonfire in your own garden as long as it doesn’t cause a nuisance. Make sure to check for time restrictions on when you can light a fire with your council.
