8 Tonne Builders Skip Hire

We have many sizes of skip available so please call our office to discuss your exact requirements but as a guide, an 8 Tonne Builders Skip is ideally sized for the larger building job. It is capable of taking between 180 and 240 full bin bags.

Here are answers to some common skip size questions:

Q.
How big a skip do I need?

Call our team to discuss your needs if you are not sure – it’s always best to allow a little leeway as you’ll nearly always produce more waste than you expected! We can supply anything from small midi skips for clear-outs through to huge Roll On/Roll Off skips for specialist work.

Q
How much waste can I put in a skip?

A skip may only be filled level with the markings shown at the top to allow for safe transportation of your waste.

Q.
Where can the skip be put?

Skips cannot be placed on a public highway without a permit (the cost does vary between councils). We can, if you ask us, obtain a Local Authority permit for you.

How much space is needed to drop off a skip?

The vehicles that deliver skips need space to unload them safely. Our drivers are really good at placing and retrieving skips but should you know of any obstructions then please tell us.

Q.
What can go in the skip?

Almost any waste except tyres, paint, fridges and asbestos are allowed. If unsure, ask us!

Q.
Is my waste going to go to landfill?

At Martlands Waste Management, all possible waste is recycled at our own recycling centre.

Q.
What are my payment options?

Most of our customers usually find it is most convenient for them to pay us using their credit or debit card – we can accept all major debit and credit cards.
