How big a skip will I need?
Call us to discuss is the best advice we can give– it’s always better to allow leeway as you’ll tend to find more waste than you expected to! We can supply you with anything from a small skip to a massive roll on/off skip for the biggest projects.
As a rough guide: you will only need a 4-tonne Midi Skip is great for small clear outs, but a 4-tonne Midi Skip will be better for a kitchen or bathroom refit. Our 8-Tonne Maxi Skip is the ideal choice for larger building jobs, and if you are constructing something huge then we can supply you with a RORO skip!
How much waste can fit in a skip?
Please do not fill the skip higher than level with the top –or it may not be possible to transport it safely.
Can the skip be placed on the roadside?
Yes – but skips may only be put on the public highway when you have a council permit (the cost varies with different local authorities). We can apply for a permit on your behalf.
How much space do you need to unload and deliver the skip?
Although our drivers are skilled at placing and retrieving skips and can do so in most spaces, please ask us for advice if you need it to be placed somewhere with restricted access.
What items can I put in the skip?
Fridges and asbestos are not allowed, but we can take almost everything else.
Will my waste be properly recycled?
Yes! All waste is recycled wherever possible, at our dedicated recycling centre.
