Since the end of March, UK residents have been asked to stay home and a huge number of businesses have changed to working from home. The movement has been restricted for all but the most essential key workers, which means it’s tricky to run any business as usual.
Can I Still Hire A Skip From Martlands Skip Hire?
Naturally, here at Martlands Waste Management, we have done everything we can to ensure our customers can still hire skips. We are still able to hire out skips to members of the public during this time, albeit in a slightly different way.
- Limited Availability –many skip hire companies are operating restricted services, due to reasons like furloughed staff and adherence to social-distancing guidelines. This means you might not get the exact skip you ask for as quickly as we usually can provide it.
- Social Distancing –every skip hire company that is still in operation has to adhere to the government’s social distancing guidelines, this means that you will be asked to keep your distance from our employees as we deliver or collect your skip.
- No Cash Payments – like many companies, we are currently not accepting cash payments and so we will ask you to pay with a credit or debit card, in advance, over the telephone. This is to prevent unnecessary contact and to protect both you and our employees.
- Amended Service Terms – Because of our limited service, we may collect your skip on a different schedule to usual. A lot of companies are limiting skip hire to specific periods, to ensure that they can continue to supply every customer who needs one.
