Toothbrushes are responsible for a lot of plastic waste. You can now get wooden or bamboo toothbrushes – some even have natural bristles instead plastic ones.
Say no to disposable plastic cutlery
Disposable cutlery is a big portion of global plastic waste. Every year, 40 billion plastic forks, spoons, and knives are thrown away. If you need disposable cutlery, choose bamboo, compostable, or biodegradable items instead of plastic.
Carry a shopping bag
Shopping bags are a major threat to marine life. Animals confuse them for jellyfish and choke on them. Buy a reusable cloth bag and carry it with you when you go shopping.
Use reusable coffee or teacups
When buying your coffee, take your own reusable cup. Not only does it keep your drink warmer for longer, it cuts back on plastic waste. Many coffee shops even give you a discount for bringing your own cup, too.
